Effective Waterborne Pathogen Control

Chris Nancrede, EIT, ASSE 12080, is the founder and president of Legionella Control Systems, Inc., a company specializing in controlling waterborne pathogens such as Legionella, NTM, and Pseudomonas. A mechanical engineer with more than 15 years of expertise in pathogen control plus a background in industrial water solutions and purification, Chris is an expert in remediation and long-term mitigation strategies using both chemical and non-chemical processes. He also holds a patent for a high efficiency water softener that reduces Legionella proliferation.

This independence allows the company to provide unbiased, effective solutions customized to each client’s needs, including engineering site consultations, water management programs, testing, and control.

Chris has collaborated with a diverse range of clients—from Fortune 500 companies like Anheuser-Busch, Chrysler, Ford, PepsiCo, Eli Lilly, and Roche to healthcare facilities such as VA Hospitals, Northwestern Medicine, and IU Health, as well as long-term care facilities like Little Sisters of the Poor. His knowledge of waterborne pathogen control has made him a trusted expert and an in-demand consultant.
