As President of Legionella Control Systems, Chris Nancrede, EIT, brings deep expertise in the engineering and implementation of advanced water softening systems. With a company legacy spanning over 90 years, Legionella Control Systems was founded in 1932 in Indianapolis by Henry T. Nancrede, focusing on water treatment for industrial and commercial applications—including the design and installation of large, complex water softener systems. These systems include carbon steel, stainless steel and FRP tank designs as well as all the accessory equipment like above and underground bulk brine making tanks, pumps, PLC controls and water quality monitoring equipment.
In line with the company’s commitment to Legionella and pathogen control, Chris engineered the patented Legionella Dominator™ water softener system. Unlike conventional softeners that operate in alternating mode—leaving idle tanks vulnerable to bacterial growth—the Legionella Dominator™ is specifically designed to minimize the three primary conditions that promote Legionella proliferation: water age, elevated temperatures, and low disinfectant residuals. This innovation reflects Legionella Control Systems’ unique combination of engineering excellence and public health focus.
