In November, Chris Nancrede, EIT, ASSE 12080, participated in the ESGLI 2025 International Conference in Italy. He was there to add practical, engineering-focused insights and help move the global conversation on Legionella prevention and control forward.
With more than 20 years of experience working on complex water systems and supplemental disinfection, Chris brought a practical, real-world perspective to the conversation. He highlighted how system design, systems that are in testing, filtration, UV, as well as targeted disinfection strategies can be aligned to reduce outbreaks and improve long-term control.
Attendees walked away with practical, easy-to-use ideas for improving their Legionella prevention programs—grounded in solid engineering and proven real-world results. They gained insights and clear steps to help improve and maintain water systems safety in hospitals, hotels, and other high-risk facilities across Europe and beyond.
